Every year, people in precarious situations die in indifference on the pavements of our cities. Their end is often a lonely one, marked by isolation and distress. To mark All Saints' Day, the Collectif des Morts de la Rue is organising a day of tribute to remind us that these lives matter and must not be forgotten.

On 2 November, join us in honouring the memory of those who have left this world. As well as showing our respect, we also want to raise awareness of the seriousness of this reality: no one should die on the streets, abandoned to loneliness.

Let's give these people back their dignity even after death

Between the ages of 18 and 71, their names were Hugo, Sébastien, Karim, Gaelle, Antoine, Rachid, Nathalie, Paul, Julien, Omar... We will also be thinking of others, whose deaths we unfortunately have no knowledge of at this time.

Do you too wish to pay tribute to those who left too soon?

9:30am: Meet at the tree in Place de l'Albertine. We'll then set off to put flowers on the graves of the deceased in the cemeteries of Schaerbeek and Brussels.

7pm: Join the Dia De Muertos procession in the Marolles, a tradition where, despite the sadness, we celebrate the memory of the deceased in a moment of contemplation.

If you would like to take part, please contact us to let the Collectif know you will be attending.

The Collectif des Morts de la Rue, which fights to honour the dignity of these lost lives, invites you to discover its actions on its new website: mortsdelarue.brussels. Let's not let them disappear into oblivion.
